Happy Father's Day!

Kaitlyn kicked off Father's Day morning by making waffles for dad... yum!

Then, we celebrated at the horse track! We met my parents there and had a great time betting on the ponies. :) Kaitlyn and I started out great... both picking the winning horse. We had a string of bad luck when it was raining outside and we needed to stay indoors. Once we were able to head back outside we were back on track. :) In the end, Troy was the big winner.

It was such a fun day - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to Troy & Pappa. We love you!

Geocaching

This weekend we went geocaching. It was pretty interesting, to say the least. Geocaching is where you find coordinates (http://www.geocaching.com/) via a GPS. After placing the coordinates in a GPS unit, you search the area to find the hidden cache (normally a small log to document you've found it!). I've done it before, but it was a first for Troy and Kaitlyn.

We started by writing down our coordinates... and off we went. We biked to the first location and didn't fnd the cache.

After searching for FIVE different caches, we were still with a big goose egg!! We had a great time searching, but no luck at all. Here's a picture of Kaitlyn with the GPS system... we were in the woods, in big grassy areas and at various park sites. Oh well! Even though we didn't find a cache we had a great time.

Say What... MOVIES?

We got some drawers put in one of the built-ins in the lower level - time to organize the movies!! Troy tasked Kaitlyn with putting them all in alphabetical order. It took her over a 1/2 hour, but she completed the task and the movies look awesome! I think the final count was somewhere around 175 movies... whew. Here are some before and after shots.

The movies look great!

Grandma's 91st Bday

We celebrated Grandma's 91st birthday today! WOW. Lately she's been wanting a small bag to attach to her walker and we couldn't find one anywhere. Troy's mom was so, so kind and made one just for her. Today was her lucky day - I gave it to her for her birthday. She LOVED it. We had a such a fun afternoon. Lunch was tacos, one of Grandma's favorites. Happy birthday Grandma!

Crawl for Cancer

Yesterday we participated in the Crawl for Cancer - a pub crawl downtown where all proceeds went to Breast Cancer. We started at The Drink, went to Bootleggers, Champps, The Dive Bar, Rosen's and ended back at Bootlegger were all teams ended to celebrate the event. It was a GREAT time! We had a team of 12 people; all great friends. A total of 45 teams participated in the crawl this year. Our team name was Lick Cancer. Here are a few pics from the day.

Here's to You Mrs. Robinson

Last weekend my girlfriend Briana got married! She married Jeff Robinson... so, Briana - Here's to You Mrs. Robinson! :) The wedding ceremony was a great time. They got married at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox church in Uptown and it was so fun to be a part of their special day. The rituals during the ceremony were very different than a "traditional" wedding I'm used to. They don't exchange vows, but rather exchange rings three times and are crowned three times.

Duing the reception there was lots of Greek dancing, it was a blast.

BBQ

We celebrated Memorial Day weekend with a great BBQ with lots of friends! Brent & Kiya hosted an afternoon and evening full of events. We grilled, played yard games and laughed all day long!

Later the same night, Troy, Amy, Jen, Katie and I went to Mayslacks and saw a band play. On the way in, Amy's shoe broke so we found some duct tape and made magic work. :) What a fun night it was!

Peanut Butter?

Mila was overdue for a bath a few weekends ago! Kaitlyn and I put her in the tub and went to work. The first time I gave Mila a bath was a struggle... mom told me she read an article about spreading peanut butter on the side of the tub to keep her busy. The trick works like a CHARM! I don't think the dog even knows water is involved.
