A Happy Birthday Weekend

happy birthday mr. troy! we celebrated this past weekend with LOTS of birthday wishes for troy.

friday night we went to Lyle's in Uptown with friends and had a great night out. as much as troy hates to celebrate his birthday and be the center of attention... he had a really fun night.

saturday we picked up kaitlyn. both she and troy got haircuts and unfortunately, i didn't have my camera. kaitlyn cut off 10 INCHES and donated it!!! you can see the end result in the pic below of her and troy - it looks great! :)

on sunday, troy's actual bday, we baked him a cake. you can see all of the candles below! he was more than excited when he opened his gift, a PS3. that's all i've been hearing about for the past three weeks when i've asked him what he wants for his bday.
we also went to the U of MN vs. UMD girls basketball game at William's Arena to watch kaitlyn's cousin play. she's a walk-on at UMD and is loving it! it was an exhibition game and the Bulldogs got smoked... but a fun time. here are a few pics from the weekend:

Go Vikes!

We went to Ash & Sara's on Sunday to watch the big Vikes & Packer game... what a fun game. Thanks for the great company and hospitality. All but one were Vikes fans so it was a rowdy crowd with lots of cheering. A few of the kids were startled at times, but then joined in the fun and clapped along with us. GO VIKES!

Happy Halloween & Happy Bday Amy!

Amy's birthday just so happens to be on Halloween, so every year we dress up and head out to celebrate her birthday. We hung out at Amy's for awhile and then headed downtown for the evening. Hope you had a fun night, AP. You're the best! Thanks for being such a great friend, pal. :)

ROCK STARS!

We had such a fun night on Friday with Kaitlyn & Abbi. We had a yummy spaghetti dinner, the girls made sugar cookies and decorated with all kinds of designs and we played charades. Halloween morning the girls were up at 6:45am getting ready for the Anoka Halloween parade... talk about a few ROCK STARS. Here are some pictures from the fun weekend.

GRanD mAstER GOul: tAKe 1

We hosted our first annual Halloween party last weekend. It was a great time, with lots of friends and fantastic costumes. The night flew by with good eats, great drinks, games and dancing. Thanks for the fun evening, all. We had a great time and can't wait for next year.

hAPpY HaLloWEen!!

Yesterday we each picked out our perfect pumpkin to carve this weekend. We deliberated for quite some and came to a conclusion as to what we were going to put on our pumpkins. This morning after breakfast we covered the kitchen table and went to work... Pops helped get the guts out of everyone's pumpkin. :) We worked long and hard and have some GREAT pumpkins to show for.

Can you match the pumpkin to the person? Trick or Treat: Kaitlyn, Witch: Linds, Peeking Mummy: Troy.

Mr. & Mrs. Sara and Ashie Wahba

Last weekend we went to Wisconsin to celebrate Ashie & Sara's wedding. It was a great weekend with a perfect wedding! Lots of friends, family and laughs.

Here are a few pictures from the deck at the restaurant where the groom's dinner was held, Sullivan's. The view was amazing - it was right off the Mississippi river with trees that were already changing colors!

We had a great dinner and played shuffle board for hours and hours
